River Project bowling shenanigans

What is River Project?

River Project is a free, online networking platform that connects learners with tutors. Users self-select their area of focus, schedule, and preferred group structure, then we do the rest.

Think of River Project as a virtual, structured study hall: a space for students to get the support they need, at their own pace, in a low-stakes environment.

What can students expect?

With River Project, students receive tutoring groups that are guided by a peer tutor, along with a powerful suite of tools and features to help them track their progress, manage their time, and get personalized help.

They are free to join or leave groups at their own pace, and they are encouraged to pursue help in any number of areas. We provide the means for learners to take charge of their learning.

What can tutors expect?

Our peer tutors have the freedom to help students learn dynamically—at whatever pace, level, and style is most effective. There is no preset curriculum, so tutors can focus on areas of need and foster positive relationships.

We offer free training sessions, validation of service hours, and no stringent requirements to remain active. We value our tutors’ time and expertise, and we appreciate whatever you can offer!

Maximize your learning experience.

River Project is available to everyone, at any time. We believe in free and accessible education that works to empower learners at their own pace. There is no cost, no commitment, and no strings attached.
